Default Promises made but no goods delivered

Quick refresher for all you saturn owners out there. I'm not new to these message forums in anyway. I've posted on them all just about, except this one until now. Telling you all about my experiences w/ aftermarket companies. Last year this time i was after a Turbo kit. I saved MY hard earned money to buy one from first Thomas Knight Turbos. Bailed on that one because of quality and missing parts. Lost over a grand on it. Than I went w/ XRC, found it to not even be ordered months after i payed them. All of these w/ countless emails and phone calls. Got a refund on that one, Third time I spoke w/ Twistec about getting the kit from them direct instead. I was told in an email i would get it on or before Nov 15. more than 3 months after giving them money. Nothing came and I emailed again w/ sometimes one sentence respones to nothing at all. Than they said they would send stuff to make me feel more at ease, which they did very slowly. I got an air filter, the turbo, and some lines, including a dirty sock inside one of the boxes. lol... 2 weeks and nothing else has come. I recently sent them an email last friday stating that i will give them 2 weeks more to get the full kit to me or i am asking for a refund. Emails were read and no response back. This is my story in a nutshell. Now I know that not all of us have almost 5 grand to get the top of the line kit from some of these companies. When you do come up w/ that money you expect to get your product and not have run arounds like i am having. So what the hecks going on here? Without us they can't survive. Here i am a year later w/ still nothing, and a car that's all ready for boost. I await an email w/ an answer from Twistec. Any one else had problems ordering parts from companies, or is it just me?

Exhausted,

Derek Payne

Yep those comapnies are slow as fu*k, well I at least know Twistec is. I ordered a guage pod from them. Took forever to get, I got it and it didn't even fit my car. I sent it back an took 3 weeks to get it. It was the last thing I bought from them. I only deal with SPS, they have got to be the best aftermarket compay out there. They may not be the cheapest but their shipping and customer support is great.

Sorry to hear about your problems, I wonder if they are this slow with all of their products or just turbos.

I just got my STB from Twistech last week, that I won from the Ohio Show a few months ago, damn they are slow. All I know is that SPS is quick, hehe, just stop in and leave parts in hand, its good to have a local saturn speedshop...well then again its bad now all my credit cards are maxed out.

man, and to think, about 3 months ago i was going to order TWO kits from them! thats outrageous, if you got time to be developing new **** you better MAKE time for the current orders you got paid for!
i get behind on custom engines too, i know the feeling, but sending people one or tow parts to soothe them then not send anything else is ridiculous, i think giving them two weeks is more then fair, the kit should have come complete, period.
i will say this about cca, everytime i need anthony he DROPS WHAT HES DOING to make sure im ok and responds with what i want to hear.
the twistec kit is ncie but man, you been getting ****ed arounf for a eyar, i would THINK that jeff should have been a little sympathetic after knowing what happened to you!
and by the way, im waiting on parts too! i wont say which company cause we all know how that goes, wehn i say something im bashing! but, this company was SUPPOSED to have a phantom grip to me while i was gone on vacation, then they told the customer (it was boght third party, i buy them direct and get them within 3 days) oh, we couldnt send it to a po box, so i promptly sent my home address. now, im still waiting, the customers tranny is sitting here just waiting for the parts.... sucks.
this is ridiculous, i get calls at 10 pm at night for tracer numbers, rorders, etc, absoluley no respect for my personal time, BUT, i answer and help people, NO-ONE who runs an on line company BETTER at LEAST give the customer a decent reply and explanation as to where they stand, YOUR the customer, its YOUR money, you deserve that.
i have on engine 2 months behind schedule, and im always open with the customers (tkt 0014) and by doing so hes calm and knows where we stand, at least some common courtesy and updates would help.
sounds like your continually getting jerked around man.
the two week deadline is more then fair, after that, demand the money back, sound slike it went into their pocket and now your on the back burner.
sad.
also sounds like the ONLY company we can rely on is sps and cca, and yes, ive had a few things with cca, minor things, like having to make a ehat sheild, i feel the air filter tube shoudl be extended a few inchs to get away from the hot air, all stupid ****. but at least when i plunk my money down anthony does what he says.
and no, im not advacating sps, god knows ive tried to be nice to john and i we just dotn like each other, BUT, let it be known, ANY business dealing we have ever done has been handled perfectly, he NEVER has had one complaint with any services from my company. he just does the same thing, one line responses, no respect for the on line community etc, but he DOES get his parts out when he says.

ps, i think your post was mature and well written and you offered a compromise, two weeks or refund, did you post on all the boards? im sure on some other ones you may catch bull**** from people who are NOT in your shoes, but, on satfans it will get allot of exposure also and fair open minded replys.

This is exactly why nobody is modding Saturns. Stupid company (Saturn, that is) that doesn't recognize the aftermarket potential, retarded aftermarket suppliers, and haters everywhere. I don't know why I keep doing it sometimes. Then I realize that it would just be giving up to just buy an Eclipse GS-X(drool...) or a 240 modded Silvia-style, which I will probably do, anyway. This seems to be the one spot (pun intended) that gathers all the other troopers that say f#@k everyone else, do what you want. Saturns foreve.....uh, for the time being. Thanks.

simple, we mod saturns to be diffrent, they DO have potential, one ride in tkt 0015 will show you that, but we are hampered by saturn, and yes, the sloppy aftermarket business practices of some companys, its a shame.
if you own a honda you could get dozens, dozens of aftermarket companys, we got choices of what? 3? it sucks.
someone should open a company to compete, no, not me, i got my hands full, heres a board full of young guys about to start their workign careers, want to work for someone else and be lucky to eanr 50k a year five years down the road? or take a chance, do something you love and make some real dough at it.
opportunity knocks sometimes.....
