punched in window

.... ok so I've parked in this place for a couple years now with no problem and I'm surrounded by other, i hate to say it but, nicer cars without alarms. they all have at least $600 stereo systems but i get my window punched in and have my deck stolen... i mean i didn't even think about taking the face plate off because I've never heard about anyone having anything stolen there; and then to have my window smashed. mind you i put a new window in that day but now i have a ****ty boom box to listen to until Friday when i get my new deck. at least they didn't get in the trunk. if anyone needs to know how to install a drivers side window I'll put up a tutorial.

It'd be cool to put up the tutorial whether or not someone currently needs to know how. Someone is bound to need it eventually.

if it makes you feel better-
i always see this nice second gen sedan with black windows by my house and a few days ago i seen his driver side window smashed out. to see this car with all black windows but the ONE clear driver side made me kinda sad. the black glass on the ground didn't help either

he's nice to me too, i felt awful i couldn't help him either

Was this because you have window tints? I'm thinking about them but I'm having second thoughts. Is there ANY way to have it locked in using a special screw... I mean I know if they want it THAT bad they will get it.

I'm also thinking about having a pimped out alarm. Where they have 5 seconds to get OUT of the car before a 140 DB siren goes off right by their heads and their ears start to bleed.

no i didn't have any tint but i'm thinking about doing that and putting an alarm in. needless to say i take the face plate out everywhere i go now. that and i think my car would look good with tint. anyone know about how much tinting should be?

i paid $275 for all 5 winders and a strip on the windsheild.. but this was also from auto image and they have a pretty good name and service so then a pretty good price..

i know theres a guy up here in jersey who goes by larry the tint man, and hell do a whole car for $150.. but hes like a call on cell phone and hell show up kinda deal..

wow man that sux, maybe I should start takin off my faceplate? That brings up this idea I once had about putting cameras inside the drivers and passenger side mirrors (kinda like reflective glass on one side then see through on the camera side) so you can see who it is if anything like that ever happens
