damn, that's right!!! Here's the story!!

There always comes a time when we get fooled or as we say on here ! Well that is the case for tonight with me.

hanging out at the local waffle house with Pablo and lots of other people. A pack of mustangs roll up and everyone tells me how they think they are the $hit and . So I was in a good mood and went and talked to them. I asked who had the fastest one. Guy tells me the yellow one. After lots of bickering back and forth about roll or dead dig run, I insist roll with the yellow one. I am told time and time again that it is a stock Mach 1 automatic and it even had the number from the dragstrip on the window. I ask to see the timeslip and it reads 13.9@102. I am thinking piece of cake.

They see what I am in and say they want to run for money. I got to my go to man and he fronts the cash for me. Undisclosed amount is handed to one person and I ask once again. I will let you see under my hood if I can look under yours. They say no, and I fall for it and still chance it.

We line up at the location rolling at 60mph as we agreed. I drop the hand from the window and we are neck and neck. He starts inching me and I get nervous. I rev the car ALLLLLLLLLLL the way out and shift so damn hard and fast to fourth that the clutch slips just a little. Before the fourth gear shift he is maybe a half car ahead. My fourth is very strong and figured I might catch back up since the turbo will be in its peak range.

After the clutch clip he pulls another car and that is the end of the race. We got off the highway and I pull along side and tell him good race. He has the look that he is untouchable and I was a waste of time. I pull along side his friends at the light and immediately ask so how big of a shot. They reply 100 shot, but the rest is stock.

We get back to the orig spot and I am hearing it is not a 100 but a 150shot. Well damn the cars lay down roughly 280whp and another 150 puts him well over 400whp.

Man did I get suckered.

Its not the fact that I lost but the fact that I was tricked and the fact that the car couldnt give 100% of what it is truly built for. The car did well for the cirumstances, and that was one fast mustang.

once out of the cars I ask a favor.....

I want a rematch once I get my clutch replaced, and I want to try and win the $$$$ back for the same amount? They look at each other, smirk, and agree. I told them that I will not add or change any other parts.

wow, i hate peeps that hold out on stuff like that-- i hate peeps that run for money w/o knowin their opponent well enough even more though
