Default Is it safe to eat ANYTHING anymore?!

I was listening to the news this morning, and apparently they had to kill 12,000 chickens because they found traces of the "Bird Flu"...I figured it was eventually gonna make its way to the states, but now with this and "Mad Cow" still goin on, is it safe to eat anything? Is our only option to be a vegetarian? Has this somewhat scared anyone else?

Do you mean eat a vegetarian, lol. Because I know no matter what I will never be a vegetarian. Can anyone say prime rib or veal? Mmmmm.

Anyways I'm not really worried about it, for the most part I just try and get organic meats and vegetables. I know some people think that is a waste but a lot of organic products are way better. And yes many people can tell the difference, maybe not right away but many people are allergic to pesticides and stuff and will get sick so they can tell. Well that's my two cents, I think I might go have some prime rib tomorrow...

I'm there with you on the prime rib. I haven't had a good prime rib in awhile and was actually thinking of having one soon last night.

Man, vegetables aren't even safe. Up here Taco Bell won't put green onions on anything because of some disease scare. It's been months since I've seen green things on an order of Nachos Bell Grande.

Looks like it's time to eat only MRE's.

I don't know, but boiled, vacuum-sealed, irradiated food is seeming more and more like a good idea.
