Default Saturn Enthusiasts!

Theres this kid in my town that has a first gen SC2 I see the car all the time but never get a chance to stop and chat with him, I was driving down his street and I seen him working on his car so I stopped and we started talking about Saturns, he has his dropped 2.5 inches and my question was how much he lowered it, his ride is pretty sweet hes seeting it up for all out racing he had the rear interior all gutted, it was kool to finally find someone in my city that hooked there Saturn up!

And I also finally got me Girlfriend to learn how to drive my car it was funny her trying to get it out of first gear, but she quickly got the hang of it, and was driving like shes been driving a 5 speed all along it was pretty funny!

That's awesome, I wouldn't mind finding another SC that felt the same way as I did. Still on topic kind of, how low can you lower the newer SC's? And how big of wheels will work the best? I wouldn't want it extremely low, but just wondering.

My gf thinks my car is nice and all, but my project car is planning on being a 2ndGen DSM. She doesn't think it'll be worth it to mod my SC1. I just wanted some minor things done, like a cold air intake, 2.5" exhaust, just minor Maybe some wheels, but in a way I respect my gf's opinion. She thinks i'm being the guys that I hate, the guys that pimp up their sunfire and cavalier, but I told her, I won't rice it up, i'm going for more performance than anything. Oh well, a DSM is totally an awesome platform, but right now, present state, I have a saturn, and it's going to be awhile before I get the DSM, so......yeah.....let the modding begin

On my 2nd Gen SC2 I am currently running the sprint 2" springs. I have seen a couple of 2nd gen SC's with 17s and coil-overs dropped 4". From hearing the opinions of others and from personal experience, as far as driveability goes, 2" or 2.5" is about as low as you would want to go.

I love pulling up next to the identical car minus the mods.....I always get stares, and if they pull over somewhere I try and stop and talk to them.

This morning I was riding on university drive, it is 6 lanes wide, and stopped at one of the 300 red lights and sitting next to me was an identical sc2 minus the mods and next to him was another 2nd gen silver SC. As I rolled off, just ahead of them of course, they were both stareing. It is great.
