| Saturn: How we found the "love" of our life In light of Josh's (wintermute) flirtations-or wait-was that KDiddy-oh well, there's a few of your single men in search of Saturn women, I decided to start this thread.
I know there are quite a few couples made in heaven by the power of owning a Saturn. So-I'd like to hear your story. If you:
a) Met your significant other through another Saturn owner
b) " through a Saturn Club or Forum
c) Both you and your significant other now drive saturns
then I would like to hear how it came to be. I guess I'll be the first to share.
I met the love of my life-Tom H (SPOC New England-Groton, CT) through SPOC PA. He's originally from PA, which is why he is a member of both. Anyways, being frustrated with the male population, I sent out a Call All Males Email to SPOC PA to race a guy. I just thought it'd be a fun little way to meet some more members of SPOC Pa, considering most are guys. I got some not-so-nice responses from some perverts, but one came through from Tom through my personal email instead of the mailing list. He wanted to meet up when he had a weekend off from the Navy and he was coming home to see his parents. Needless to say, we started off showing off our cars to each other, and now, 8 months later we are still happiily together-hopefully for a very long time. So-Thanks to SPOC PA, or else I would never have met this wonderful man.

| Well i met my g-friend a while back, almost 3 years to be exact. When i met her she kept on telling me how much she liked my car, and kept bugging me to drive it. After some time she started to like the car so much she went and bought the same one pretty much. Then a few months later her sister and my brother both got one! Pretty funny when you come to my house and see my white satty in the driveway and 2 identical green ones outside. Even funnier when her sister comes over and now on top of those 3 there is a blue one there too. It looks like a saturn used car lot!!! |

| I just have to chime in here for a sec......hope nobody minds. I don't have a story to tell, and if I answered that up there, it would be none of the above, but let me tell you what I've found because of my Saturn, the Saturn Club (SPOC-PA) I'm proud to be a part of, and the Saturn boards. I've found friendship and family. And all this, just because of a machine on four wheels. I know it's been said before in other threads, but I can't say it enough really how much all of this means. The closeness of this group, this family is unlike any other I've ever been a part of, and well, to me, there's nothing in the world that feels better then that. This may not pertain to the question above, but I just felt the need to share this.

| My wife loves our little red Saturn. I drive it because I like the challenge of keeping it running day to day, and the challenge of making it somehow cool.

| Well, I would have to answer "C" and our first Saturn was one I picked out and drove. It was technically "my" car but Nelson ended up driving it more than me...always seemed to be a problem with his car...
Now we both have Saturns and I love it!
As for Mike's post...I join Emily in the group hug...everyone here is so great! and cool and a little srtange but always fun

| Hey Bren you stunned my at first. Before I read the entire post I saw my name TOM H, because I am too. Only to be let down by the referance to another guy. With that said how many people have broken up their relationship because of their infatuation with their car.
