| Saturnspeed flame war, Joey this one is for you bud this is an excerpt from saturnspeed.com....here is the rest of the link: http://www.saturnspeed.com/cgi-bin/Y...num=1036444071
**now this excerpt is from my quote to all of those posting in that forum***
WOAH, WOAH, WOAH............hold on a second here!!!!!!!
WHAT THE HELL.....is going on here for everyone to be flamin each other.......We are all mature adults here and this nonsense has to stop.
Everyone has their own way to do things; some are right, some are wrong, and some dont even get noticed!
Now, this nuts needs to stop because goddammit im trying to learn nuts here. Whether some one used a factory gasket and blew up his engine is his problem. He is trying to fix it the best way he can without confrontation.
Now, cant we all just get along and let the flame war stop?¿?
and JOEY, dont let anyone tell you different; from reading what you've posted in Saturnspot.com, here and our conversations through emails, i know you know your nuts. By the way people talk about their personal experiences dealing with you and dealing with your mechanical skillz (mad propz on the convertable by the way).
There are others who are stuborn about the way they think, and nothing will help them change their mind about things or how they think. No one knows everything, thats why you have to go out on the limb and trust what someone has to say by what they offer you knowledge wise. Its your choice to believe them or not. And if they get ripped off or swindled in any way shape or form, that is there problem.
***NO OFFENSE MEANT TO ANYONE***
-this is just my opinion

| hey nate, while i apprecaite the concern dont let it get to you, i barely post there anymore due to the childish bull****, as you can tell, allthough we have many 'cross posters" here we dont encounter that bull****, why? cause i personally weeded out the TRASH fron day one, by banning the same 3-4 *******s that dont know when to keep their mouth shut we have been able to turn this into a top notch board, and we are far from done with it.
i hit one of the more useless volatile boards last night and was surprised at some of the people i did see cross posting, i msut say, when i go to two of the "big " boards i dont see nothing but bull****, no new or usefull information, a bunch of moderators handing out BAD information of which they know nothing of what they speak, anyone can pay someone to build an engine, anyone can build a coupel of engines or slap naws on, but, get in the trenchs with me for a day, you know how many guys simply cannot cut it to my high standards? how many 18 year old, in good shape, young men cannot keep up with my pace? how many did **** work, bad welding, etc that i would not consider allowing them to work for me or endorse them?
i dont let it bother me, like i said, we got a good thing here and this is merely the begining, the ONLY board i see with any new or usefull info, besides us, is satfans, and their group is a little bland for my tastes, i like a little opposite views and opinions, not, hey, i tired this great wax today on my 03 vue, and 30 people reply, yeah, that stuff is great, etc. boring!

| I go back and read a few things every now and again but I left SaturnSpeed becasue of the flame war that a few individuals have to keep starting with joey everytime that he posts over there. It is ****ed up that just a few people can be such children but hey we can't all grow up at the same time it might make the world a civilized place and who would want that? :P

| the funny part is brandon, NOT ONE has A COMPAINT with my company, yet they always try to drag my business into it. its a shame cause theres a gfew people on there that i really like such as dirk and sammy but they know where to find me, also, johnny kings a great guy. i cant belive though that a coupel of kids, with absoltey no ase training or ANY kind of formal training will sit there and give bad advice all day and sadly, people believe what they read on the net. now i see why sps long ago stated they have to reeduacate people from the newsgroups.

| Harsh man, this is one reason I hardly ever look at the other boards. At least here no one has tried to bite my head off for asking questions like some people at another saturn board.

| Joey,
There's only three people I would let work on my car, because they know what they're doing... You, my mechanic (my column in Etreme Street Racing from last month was about him. Lemme know if you didn't read it and I'll send it to you), and my best friend (he's been working on cars since he was 12, and knows his ****), and that's it!
Bro, I'll admit I'm a cross-poster (better than being a cross-dresser lol), but I post here one HELL of a lot more than I do anywhere else! Just shows you the quality of this board is WAY better than the others! We have a good thing here, and I, for one, am VERY proud to be a member here... Scratch that, we're not just members. We're family, and we're friends SaturnSpot.com just plain rocks!

| i used to post in domestictunerz.com until no one with saturns posted there anymore really. i heard about this place from coppertop, and here i have stayed. i usually check in to see what everyone says in xtremesaturn.com and saturnspeed.com, but saturnspeed.com has lost all respect that i thought it had for itself as of today! |

| Yea, I met Johnny King at saturn slam that SPOC-SE held back in june. He is a great guy, and there are a few others that are cool. I have a problem with that board now that it has turned in to a big battle board and if I wanted to read a board that was just one big flame war I would find a battle board to post on. There are a few people that have corvettes and cameros that post there just to talk **** to everyone that posts anything at all. I see it this way acording to the import and the V8 people we are the bottom of the barrel for performance. I think that we should do a better job of pulling together to stop this. On the Spot here for example we all seem to more grown-up. We understand that each of us knows what we know and when we don't know something we ask each other and don't get flamed just for not knowing. I like the way that this part of the saturn community has pulled together. I am just rambling, as you can tell and I think that I will just stop now.

i remember when someones wife got sick and i headed up a campain to raise money for them bacj when the baords were TIGHT, we raised voer 700.00 for this family (and its someone many of you all know) they were very grateful and it was very satisfying to see everyone pull together like that, i have yet to see action even remotley like that sinc ei left the board. now, like you said, those two boards are nothing but flame fest, even wehn i dont particpate, then flame each other, thats bull****,personally i dug meeting every one of you guys at the show and cant wait till next year to see my extended saturn family once again...
