Default SDA note to all, please read!!!

Hi all, this is mike from street design autosports. I am making this post to clarify a few negative posts I have seen on the boards and to explian a few things about our company, please take a minute to read, thanks.

OK, first off, this business has been a very long climb uphill. To start things off, I had a (ex) partner that had deleted our website from the FTP files, leaving no website at all. Luckily I am good at picking up new things and was able to get the site back up in about a month or so. That lost us alot of customers, and I was seriously going to take legal action against my ex-partner for such a childish act, but I didnt.

Then I basically started off again with no $$$ left over, not much stock and was trying my hardest to get stock back up, and it was only I who was left to run the business (awnsering phone calls, shipping and placing orders, awnsering emails...etc). Lets just say its very hard to do as one person.

Then SMS who we tied in with fuked all their existing dealers, fired Mike (the father of SMS and my main contact) and tied in with APC and demanded a $5,000 buy in even though we had had an account with them for almost a year which Im sure wasn't hurting their profits cause we did move alot of their products. Needless to say, 5K is alot esp. for a smaller co. like us and we couldnt pull that...they still owe us about $300 in core charges which nobody wants to refund since Mike took care of us...

After all this I found a new business partner, which was finally a good thing.

We ended up moving the business operations to a full out shop, which needed a lot of work itself and took ALOT of time. Moving everything, changing everything including our phone # and more. Were finally setteling down now after months of hard ass work getting everything up to where it needed to be.

In between this time some people made some orders that couldnt be dealt with properly. I apoligize for this. I now see I should have temporarly closed the site, but I was very afraid to do that after the site was taken down by my expartner. I think there was alot of confusion between the business and the customers due to everything changing including our phone # and certian email addresses.

OK, then our shop got broken into, WTF! It wasnt my partner but it seemed like an inside job, some one who hung out alot or something.... We lost over $1200 worth of stuff, the police still have nothing.... >

Then my diff pin went WEEEEE out the side...leaving me with no car and yet another tranny to replace, we just pulled it out yesterday....

Then my car (the 95 SC2) got broken into a few days after my tranny broke in the parking lot, they took my CD player and some CD's. Luckily they left the N20, radar detector and everything else. But the thieves were dumb and left the wiring haness for the stolen CD player, which make it worth less unless they would call the company and get another one sent, which I really dobut they would bother doing....

After this we have had some past part distributor problems, such as me placing an order and it never being sent out after 3 weeks (from flatlander performance who we no longer deal with at all and we as a business are still waiting for our money back from the recently cancelled order, hopefully we'll at least get that!) Then there is always the all favorite backorder, ask any company..it happens no matter what sometimes.

THis is way too long, my bad, but to sum it up, so much has happened, alot of it crappy, and I apoligize for pretty much everything and now things are back to where they should be, Were doing some more to the SC2 for next season and have some more stuff coming out. I would also like to say, all of us saturn tuners are doing something right, our scene is growing and we are getting some long awaited parts from the more large companys...

BTW: our new ph# is 716-833-TUNE, not the old 445-0647 number.

Mike

mike it takes a BIG man to step up to the plate and make a company happen, trust me, it took SEVEN years before i took a saturday off, then another year or so before we only worked one saturday a month, now as eyars go by you couldnt PRY ME into working on a weekend, unles sits something i WANT to do.
it takes a BIGGER man to admit fault, youve done that. i to also know the stigma of trying to explain something, then the customer GOADS you into a argument only to have it blow up in your face years later, hell i was just talking to matt sc1 over a thread he put on satspeed, he was under the impression that mkosems engine swap had problems, just from reading certain threads, well we didnt make it public that fed ex dropped the fuggin pallet, nor did i make it puiblic that i GAVE him about seven HUNDRED bucks worth of free parts to fix his collsion damage, which had NOTHING to do with our engine order, but since im not here 24/7 babysitting the boards anymore people still can pick **** up and misinterpit it.
**** happens man, its the man behind the scenes that makes it happen, or not happen.
id still order form you in a blink, id ask you the projected time to get the parts, and if there was a back order and you let me know id accept it or ask for a refund.
i also know that if somethings lost or damaged in shipping either to us or from us, 9 times out of 10 were going to eat it and the freight comapnys going to WORM THE **** OUT OF IT, that hurts even a established company, its called wash, get used to it, about 100k a YEAR out of my gross is ALL WASH, lost orders, doing something twice (but hey do it FOUR times to get it right if you have to!) damaged goods etc.
thanks for taking the time to post, good luck, Joey
ps, youll find the saturn community the hardest of all car owners to please, saturn coddled people from their start, but notice how THAT has changed, theyll **** anyone now just like any other dealer. saturn buyers expect a certain level of service that sometimes, is simply impossible, i look at it this way, for every 6 months that goes by i may pick up one dickhead that in no way i can make happy, **** happens. but in the same 6 months another 2000+ customers got their goods, no problems, ive earned their repeat business, its the nature of the beast man....

Nice site. If I ever get some extra money I might have to get a port/polish on the head. $395 is not bad for that stage 2. What kind of power would I be looking at? And is it only for DOHCs?

We can do it for SOHC's as well, actually its a little cheaper Power gains will be dynoed in the spring sometime, but expect 10-15 HP.

Damn that's good. I'll keep that site bookmarked. And get back to you when I get some money.

Ok, I feel I should input on this thread. I have bought most of my stuff from these guys and have had no problems. When I ordered my clutch it was on back order. But during this time I either got a phone call or an e-mail letting me know what the status was on the clutch. I trust these guys and so should everyone else. Here next week I am sending them my DOHC head to have a stage 4 done to it. That’s a lot of money, so I better trust them.

Ok, I’ll shut up now. Just my two pennies.

That is a nice page, but the ION Intake doesn't show up properly for some reason.
