| Seaside - 3am - Police Chase - Asthma - Frost bitten feet So last night/morning, around 1AM - my sister Jennifer, and two friends, Kelly and Emily decided since we were SOO bord we'd drive down to Seaside Heights to walk on the beach in the rain since we have never done that before - that was our first mistake, becuase on our way down the parkway, it decided to down pour and wind really started to pick up - so this means that the temp. decided to drop below a million degrees!
But before this, since i had gotten my car back, we were gonna drive down in my car, but since i have a convertible - even with the hardtop - lots of cold are getis in my car, so everything was fogging up, and well it was a disaster, we we all piled in my sisters Black GrandAm GT and headed down...
Ok - Seaside, we got there around 2:30AM since we had to stop 3 times for Emily to go to the bathroom - she has the highest metabloism in the WORLD (she's 5'5 and weights 102 pounds!!!! *jealous*) anyways the Po-Po are out in vengance for some reason - well no reason, its just SeaSide, so we drove down the stip to about where Island Beach State park begins - find a spot, de-shoe and sock, and step outta the car....
OMIGODS can you say - MORONS...it was soooo cold, the cement, the wooden planks....running....running...then we hit the sand, it felt like we were standing on blocks of ice - the wind was throwing us around, needless to say 3min. after that, we ran back to the car...
Now my friend Kelly has acute-asthma, and Emily Jen and i have costioCondritus - forms of asthma, so from us running in the cold, damp, raining air, we all got asthma attacks and Kelly almost died, we thought were gonna have to give her MOuth to Mouth!
So we wash off our feet with the water bottles and towles we took from my house (we were kinda smart this EARLY morning) get in, warm up - our feet felt like they were on FIRE! it was horrible...
So ok - who the hell gets lots on SeaSide? No one - except us....for some reason we kept missin the bridge to take us back over to Route 37! End up askin a cop - Cop asks *What are you doin here this late, and why don't you just go they way you came* My quick thinking, *Oh we followed a few friends in yesterday, and we need to get back to Union, NJ for Palm Sunday* (i felt really bad using that excuse but it was the first thing that popped into my head) so he was than nice, and told us where to go...
Fine, dandy, we get onto the bridge and onto route 37....so we're cruisn along listening to some Missy Eliott, signing, next thing we know - 4 PoPo's pull up behind us, lights and sirens blaring - ok so picture this - rockin out to Missy - next thing you know - i mean OUT OF NO WHERE 4 cruisers behind you - scariest **** int he world.........
Jen and Kelly start freakin out, Emily and me and screaming at Jen to pull over, so we kinda pull to the shoulder, when a black GrandAm BLEW by us with 2 other Po-Po following in chase - the other cops either thought we were the GrandAm that was involved in the chase - or was trying to clear the road so no one got hit - whatever, Jen pulls to a stop, we all sit there for a few seconds, to gather ourselves, while Kelly's having anouther asthma attack....
What a night - needless to say, i have never been involved or caught up in a police chase - and will NEVER go back to Seaside and walk on the beach at 3am in a rain storm.
but WHAT A DAY - never had anything so exciting/frightning experiance in MY LIFE!

| They might have been clearing the road, but more logically, at that time, they were probably stepping ahead of the guy in the car to setup stop spikes. Wow, I have seen a few chases and they were crazy ****. |

| holly baby, you are bringing back such great memories for me, island beach state park? thats one of the only places left where you can tkae your 4wd truck and drive on the sand (but you do need to purchase a permit to drive on the beach) i loved it there and have taken melissa to both seaside and island beach when i came up to race in the sunoco offshore gran prix off point pleasant., i guess that was, oh, id say 98 or so ( i did offshore racing proffesionally from 96 to 99, after we got our second world championship cup i called it quits, boat racing back then was a terrifce write off but is WAY costly, even our smaller boat, the a class boat cost on average 25k a year for a 7-8 race season, and thats IF you didnt blow anything major up, thats just for registration, travel, fees, etc!
when i was a kid seaside wasnt quite the madhouse it now is but was always a party spot, one day we were down there and walking down the boardwalk smoking a spliff, well a hand grabbed me from behind, smackd me down to the gorund and cuffed me! you want to talk about dickhead cops? well they put me i the back of the car, and then DROVE AROUND, FLOORING IT, AND THEN SLAMMING THE BRAKES purposley to make me and my bud slam into the glass partition in the back of the po po car! then after i guess waht they felt was enough abuse they stopped, uncuffed us and told us to get the f out of seaside. nice officers.....
