Simple Digital Systems Heya. Have you guys ever heard of Simple Digital Systems? SDS is a local company (Calgary, Alberta, Canada) that is now getting very big worldwide.
What they supply is a complete, and very easy to use, stand alone fuel injection and ignition controller setup, complete with wiring harness for your application. It's not like one of those lame ass piggyback setups that are offered for Honduhs. One guy on the site actually had his 7 year old daughter tune his car for him once everything was hooked up.
So, here's what I'm thinking. You take my stock 94 SOHC SL1, rip out the entire injection setup/intake manifold. Bolt up a newer SOHC MPFI intake manifold, and wire up the SDS stuff. Sure there are some issues to deal with for the gauge cluster, but nothing real hard. I think you'd need to leave some of the old harness in place (speed sensor) if you want to continue using the stock speedo.
I think it'd be easier to do than swapping out the harness from 94 SOHC to a later version, as everything stays under the hood.
Of course I can't afford this, but I can dream, right? Oh yeah, this probably isn't legal in a lot of places. It'd be cool here because even though we have emissions laws, they are never, and I mean never enforced or checked.
Jim
