Default Sister hit a deer

Well, tonight sucked. My sister was on her way home tonight coming through a rough section of town when a deer decided that it had had enough and decided to run into the side of my sister's car. She's fine, the deer isn't, Well, I ride down there with my mother to check out the car and drive it back if possible. Well, the fender is a lost cause, as is the hood, headlight and door, as well as requiring a forced-wheel alignment. There were a bunch of cops and some vehicles to remove the deer and all. I haven't been around so many cops in four years, and I still hated it. Well, she is only 18 so she can't really afford to bring it to a shop, so of course I'll be fixing it for her. Well, I get it into the garage and start checking it out with some light, and this is going to be a messy job since some of the deer is still there *shudders*. Looks like I have a gruesome job ahead of me...

I'll see what I can do. I'll try to grab my camera from my place tomorrow morning to take a few pics, but she goes to school again on Monday, so I've got to make it to the parts yard in time to pull the parts and everything since there is a chance of snow tomorrow.

Default DERANGED BUCK ATTACKS SATURN

JUST CURIOUS ABOUT HOW MUCH DAMAGE THAT THE SUICIDAL WOODLAND CREATURE IMPOSED UPON A PLASTIC CAR. I'VE HEARD THAT THE PLASTIC PANELS (FENDERS) WITHSTAND IMPACTS TO 40MPH BEFORE THEY BREAK.
IF THE DEER -RAN INTO THE SIDE- OF HER CAR, RATHER THAN HER HITTING THE DEER HEAD-ON FOR EXAMPLE, THE DEER MUST HAVE BEEN RUNNING AT LEAST 40, OR CLOSE TO IT IF YOU FACTOR HER CONTRIBUTING SPEED.
OKAY, ENOUGH TECHNICAL RAMBLING, SORRY....
SO, HOW DID THE CAR FAIR?

The car she was in (sorry I didn't mention it in the original post) was actually my old Nissan that I gave her when she got here license. The fender is bent inside out, the lights are busted, the door is screws and the hoods might have to be replaced. I've already got the car stipped, and there was no frame damage, no leaks and the radiator is okay. Hopefully I should have her car back together by the time she gets home from work. I'll try to post some pics later today.
