You're the local shoe expert. Whats the best basketball shoe on the market now? I need something totally functional for some beat down rough all evening basketball playing. Preferably a light weight shoe. Gotta be durable. What do you suggest and why?

Hehe, I'm sure Cam will disagree (IIRC he's a Nike guy), but for whatever reason I've always been a fan of Adidas. Actually in the market for a new pair here soon. Maybe some Stan Smith's or Halfshells.

Adidas are a good shoe. My wife just about won't wear anything else. I'm banking on the best basketball shoe being a Nike model though. I've actually looked at a couple Nikes that caught my interest, one was the "Total Package" and the other was one of the Jordan series.

You'd think you could find something like a list of the top 10 performing basketball shoes or something but I haven't been able to turn anything up.
