Default which stb?

okay, im sure this has been asked 100s of times, but i want my post count to go up :P

which strut tower braces will fit a 99sc2 dohc-

91-99 is what ive been told, and ive heard the sohc ones will fit, but may rub out the hood liner--

so could someone, once and for all, please tell me EXACTLY which year/engine strut bars will fit?

and does anyone know if the 15$ STBs on ebay listed as 91-99 stb are for sohc or dohc?

the $15 one is most likely the vibrant STB, which is for SOHC's. my wagon (a DOHC) has two vibrant strut bars, one fore and one aft.

to make the bar fit up front i simply removed the front hoodliner. the car became a little louder, yet ran cooler. i had no real clearence issues baring the stock intake tube rubbing on the bar. wouldn't be an issue with an aftermarket intake.

and get rid of that little frown next to the automatic in yer sig. my automajic has taken out it's fair share of manual saturns.

yeah, but the down side to manuals (for me anyway0 is you gotta drive em all the time. even when you don't want to. like when you're stuck in traffic.

you should stick that little frown next to the 3 door part.

lol, yea im not a huge fan of the three door either, though it is really nice to have when i did my stereo install and other stuff--

saturn should make a sportstronic like mitsubishi-- manual when you want it, auto all the other times.

i'd rather have a tiptronic like a VW, that way we know it's designed by real engineers. we all know how long mitsu-trannys last...

i don't like the three doors bacause of the strucural integrity that is lost through the huge gaping hole in the side of the car. especially if you've got a sunroof.

I got the sprint strut bar, I like a solid strut bar for better stability myself.
