Guys,
My radar detector will detect laser as well, but the only REAL benefit to having a RD that will detect laser is to let you know, once hit with =one, that you're about to get a ticket.

isn' t there some kind of laser detector that'll let you know in advance if there's a cop shotting one nearby. Like it'll go off if it senses a laser detector being shot a couple hundred feet in front of you, before the cop gets to your car.

nope...nothing like that. laser doesn't spread like radar so you can't detect it when it's not being shot at you. also it is an on-off thing so it makes it even harder to detect.

Acualy doesnt it have like a 3foot off.. so they could be pointing to the car next to you and it will go off. im pretty sure.. i dont have my book at me at the moment but yeah its like dead on. chances are if the cop gets some one next to you with a laser your Radar dector will go off
