Talk about a burn It's been a solid 12 months or so since I've done some serious biking (street or trail), because well...I can run the short distances and back home I got a car. No need for my bike.
Well, finally got it up here at OSU and I've been pushing myself hard on it since I've got it. To give some background info, it's a 21 speed GT mountain bike (Rebound) hardtail, not really meant for the streets with it's gearing and the tires mounted on it. I'm keeping up with 25mph+ traffic with this thing.
Anyway, with the running I've been doing up here, I learned a very important fact all over again.......running doesn't work your quads like biking, lol. I used to be able to leg press 350 pounds 15 times (max was 475), and my quads feel like I just got done doing that after a 45 minute ride from 4:15-5am this morning.
It's freakin amazing how your muscles loose their strength to be honest.......now I gotta get 'em back into shape . Oh well. Shower and oatmeal then work at 6.......fun fun fun.
