Default Think Someone felt the Sting of a Saturn?

Guys,
For the past few nights, I've been pretty content on just cruising to and from work, actually DOING the speed limit, etc.. That was then Two or three nights ago, a big-ass truck was right beside me at the stop light... Now, let me emphasize that I won't challenge anyone to a race on public streets (I'll accept challenges, but I won't issue one), but when I saw the big Confederate Battleflag in the rear window and shotgun rack inside, in addition to the dude (typical redneck-looking inbred type) smiling at me, I decided to let it rip. This was at night, and NO-ONE travels that street at night, so I figured it was okay... The light turns, and he takes at the same time as I do. Through 1st gear, he gained one carlength on me, and didn't gain anymore! At the end of that run, he rolled his window down and just smiled and laughed, but when I said what I did, his smile turned into a look of worry!

"Dude, I know you're not worried that I didn't win. What you need to be worried about is that I kept up with you."

His smile vanished and he drove off... Heheheheheheheh!

Next one was just tonight. It wasn't a race, but from the look on his face, I'm pretty sure he didn't like what he heard! I was at work, and this one loud-mouthed kid was nearby, bragging about his car and what all he's done to it, apparently trying to impress his friends and so forth... Well, at the decibel levels he was speaking at, I'm pretty sure the whole mall could hear him! Anyways, he goes on and on, and then I chimed in by saying I'm into sport compacts as well. As I said, the kid was a loud-mouth, so he went on by saying "Wanna race? I bet you can't beat me!" So, I ask him what he's running... '99 Accord, he answers. Without missing a beat, I tell him "Okay, I'll race you," knowing full and well he's playing a bigshot for his friends. After that, he asks me what I'm running, and I tell him... LOL I swear, I've never seen anyone back down THAT quickly from a Saturn in my life! "Oh no man, I need a new clutch and I need some new tires, so I'll race you later..." SHEESH, what a moron!

Guys, has anyone else seen those looks that I refer to here? It's fun to see them!

Josh

What do you drive? What mods?

You lost by a length to a large pickup (assuming "large" means F-250/Ram 2500 size or bigger), but a kid with a '99 Accord wouldn't race you? i don't get it....

LOL! Good stuff with the accord. I know a kid here that has a mid 80's or earlier RX-7. He wanted to race me one night and I was like ok, he must have thought I would back down. He did the same thing as the accord kid and said he needed to get my new tires on first. He has the news tires on now, but he doesn't ask me to race.

Anony00GT,
I have a '94 Saturn SL2, with the basic mods, such as Air Intake, Sparkplug Wires, Plugs, and Clutch The truck was a Chevy Silverado-sized, so in comparison to my Saturn, it was big

The accord situation must have been funny. What was everyone else saying when he didn't want to race?
