Default The Tirerack CAN KISS MY ASS! (Yes, Rant-Time!)

Guys,
As you all know, I got my rims yesterday... Today, I decided to go on and order two new replacements for the rear tires, since those two have the most wear out of the set. The way I see it, the front two (which are essentially new) don't need replacing, so I went on and called a few places to get prices... All were more than what I was wanting to spend, but the Tirerack quoted me a pretty fair price (about $130.00) on the tires I requested (Kuhmo Supra 205/40/ZR17... Yes, I know I don't need Z rated tires, but if I'm keeping the two in the front, I want all 4 corners to match), so I went on and placed the order. 20 minutes later, I get a call back from The Tirerack... Alex (the dude on the other end) promptly tells me that they are CANCELLING my order! When I asked them why, they simply told me that they were UNDER-RATED for the load capacity for my car, and that they wouldn't sell them to me because of that! Now, I would have been happy with their answer if the rep didn't cop an attitude with me, but he did... You DO NOT get an attitude with me! Well, just to ease my own mind, I called a few of the local places, and asked them about this... In short, they said that what they said was bull****, and that I could run those tires on my car safely... Guess what Tirerack? You just lost my business, *******s!

Josh

I don't think they care that they lost your business since they were canceling your order anyway.....

Killa,
I know you're right, but as I said, I would have been happy and perhaps even considered an alternate size from them if their rep didn't act like an ******* to me.

An alternate size, so the front and the back would not be the same? hmmmmm

Killa,
I was referring to the alternate size for a full tire package, I apologize for the confusion.

Your first mistake was going with TireRack. DiscoutTireDirect sells that same exact same tire for $90 including shipping.

They also don't require you to specify a vehicle

Anony,
Bro, if I hit a pothole and pop one, then it'll be my own damn fault. Hell, The Tirerack told me I needed 205/45's, and they're not much better in that regard!
