So the car was cleaned and I was cruisin by the beach with my friend. There is a little hump in the road where you cant see to well over it. No traffic in front of me so I am lookin down the road. My friend calls out, "watch out!" I see the tire last second (doing only 33) and I couldnt swerve to far cause of on-coming traffic. So I move as far as I can but it grabs the right side of the car and we go airborn on that side for a second and land hard. This wasnt some donut, it was a truck or SUV tire just chillin layed down in the middle. Some kid had to have put it there for a joke.
So I pull over and a cop was right there so he pulled off with us. He was like "I saw the tire fly and your car launch, everything ok." We talked for a few minutes and he wasnt really able to do much but at least he stopped and made sure we were ok and had his lights on so we could get the broken parts outta the street. I pull into a lot 20ft. down the road and take a look. Damage report:
Passenger front fender well liner destroyed.
Under carriage plastic guard destroyed.
Right fog lamp destroyed.
Front passneger quarter panel knocked loose.
Radiator vent fan knocked off mounts onto radiator.
Alignment is way off now.
The radiator has a slight dent on the bottom and still runs fine, no leaks and anything. But the fan is knocked off and hangin on one side. I am gonna take it off tonight to see if it can be easily remounted, then stop at a salvage yard to pickup the liners and stuff. Not happy about the situation. The engine runs fine though and I drove it home and parked it. I took my friends 2000 Civic to work today since he has his 2003 Accord until the Civic is due back on thurs. I am gonna take a look at it tonight.
