| MVK, i said id do them as long as my health and myelf felt up to it, also, i was getting upset over the cost of parts eating my profit to do a 'real' job without cutting corners like some unscruplulous places are doing to you guys.
(no, not just xrc, theres allot of people out there claiming 45 hp from their heads...BULL**** ALERT!) see tkt 0015 + 14 were pretty far behind schedule, , the parts costs were outrageous and im like man, whos going to pay 5-8k just for an engine without a turbo kit included, cause thats about what i need to get for a proper turbo or non turbo high performance engine, again, TO DO IT RIGHT. (for instance my machine shop bill the other day was 2300.00, thats cause i have some blocks being bored, ringed etc....)
thats not even factoring in the pistons rods etc.
but, this trip to the machine shop was very enlightening, one, we have a company working on custom rods, AS GOOD AS CROWERS, but will cost me, the shop far less, and unlike ross, who NEVER should have released their shop prices to the public this company is true wholesale retail, see any fewl can call up, claim they own some half assed shop in bum**** new mexico and ross was telling people, oh yeah 400.00 for pistons, well, that should have never happened cause then when i, as a real shop get a request if i say their 500.00 people would come back and go, well so and so on the net said he can get them for 400.00, well what the ****, do YOU work for free? well, nor should i. (by the way, i do pass that onto my customers, the price of the ross pistons) but the whole idea was to many people were spouting off wrong or errant prices and when us real shops went to build an engine there was no profit left, so why the hell should i have all that stress?
reason # 2, i have a crack team right now, before it was me and billy and some helpers, me or billy are the only ones with enough hands on expereince to show someone or to build an engine before it leaves my facility. well, bring ray into the picture, ray has a 10 second STARLET. yup, an old rear wheel drive toya starlet, on 10's, no juice, all motor/turbo/traction. the guys far beyond a helper and can barely speak english hes ****ing good, ask plastic assasin, he come in yesterday for something simple like a mount, ray does it, takes the money, i dont evfen know till i come on, THATS the way it SHOULD be, not 20 phone calls, not having his wife and kids there all day, not STEALING from me and my customers cars like some recent employees... basically i was getting disgusted and my health wasnt helping the issue.
(right now im typing with the finger next to my pinky on my left hand as its numb, not like asleep but painful numb almost 24/7, and im left handed, and this affects me all day...it also wakes me up about 4 times a night for 15 minutes at a pop, so as it is i only get about 4-5 hours sleep to begin with, but before at least i slept, i havent had a good nights sleep in about a year now, as my condition deteriorates nerves get pinched between joints, hence the numbness, why i fall for no reason etc...)
so having a good crew is essential to the ongoing tkt program, period.

this is going non turbo, he is going for cams, were going to do some fine tuning that was tested on tkt 0014, further porting and polishing, oh, we got some unrealeased tricks up our sleeves!
the new rods should be released within 45 days, of course with my wedding coming thats going to put the brakes on everything for a month, which is cool cause it gives me time to see these rods in hand and see if the quality is worthy of my mark.
now, i know theres allot of rumors about 0015, KNOW, that ANY problems with 0015 were due to the TURBO KIT, i was man enough to keep my problems to myself and have furiously been working (and losing money) to make that car worthy, OUR ENGINE is flawless, we removed FOUR smoking turbos, none were right, not one, but, we ran that car with no turbo, the engine is flawless, our work. no smoke, no taps, NOTHING. and considering the amount of work that went into it, such as the ringed block which no-one else had EVER done to a saturn before, thats a damn good thing.
also, NONE of these turbo kit companys tell you, besides what ive been preaching about forged internals, that is you try and run more then say 6 PSI your factory downpipe and exhaust will hold you back creating high run temps and cause problems, they leave it up to you to find out as you go.
many of you have cat back systems, wont cut it with more then 8 PSI, you must have custom exhaust. right now we have 0015 at 12psi with the extra injectors in tune and well, anyone that saw that car at desota will tell you whats up with that....
0015's tires are less then an inch high, absolutley no sidewall flex at all, hence the time slips...
i may as well have run with the factory spare donuts on the car....
0020 is going super high compression, 2.0 litres, extrude honed intake, oh, shell fly ok.
ask todd, tkt 0013, all we really did to his car was one of our custom heads, hes now coming down for a custom block, our head alone made his car WAY WAY MORE POWERFUL then stock, and todds been our customer since 96!!! matter of fact todds been with us so long we sold him his throttle body from sps when we were selling sps items.
hes also going for cams added to 0013 on this trip down.
