Default Tranny ?

How hard is it to rebuild a Manual Tranny? My current one has 95,000 miles on it and I am in the process of getting ready to rebuild the motor. I mean doesn't the tranny come out when the engine does? Shouldn't be too hard should it? Would you do it with a Haynes Manual or a Factory Service Manual?

Would you all recommend a Phantom Grip? I will be running a 75 Shot of Nitrous when I get the engine done..and don't want to mess up my tranny.

Not replacing the clutch...the one in it only has 600 miles on it..only had it in a week before I blew the motor.

Thanks for the help in advance.

Rebuilding a tranny's a little trickier than doing an engine. I'd reccomend taking it to a shop.

twisted, ALL manauls interchange, i have twin cam 5 speeds with under 60k in stock, your price would be 450.00 (normally anything under 50k would be a 600.00 tranny) for that cost you couldnt even buy the gears and parts to rebuild it, then yes add a pg...

So you keep tranny's with low miles on them in stock all the time? Hmm..sounds very tempting. I might have to get one of those off of you man. It will be a while though. Since I totally have to rebuild my engine. I had the crank seize up in it last Jan. Who knows..if you move to TN I could prolly make a road trip and pick one up from you.

Hey man if I had the money right now I would deffinatly buy it now. But I don't have the money and need to save up to get it. But I will take you up on the offer.

Is there anyway..if I purchased a pg. I could send it to you and you could install it for some extra money?
