Default What do I need to do to get my car Calif. emissions ready??

There is a possibility that I may be relocating to San Fran for work. If so, the '92 SL1 will be coming with me. Does anyone know if I need to beef up the converter or anything else? I'd rather take care of it now..

Thanks

Your car should be able to pass emissions if you have newer plugs and wires. Have you replaced intake, exhaust, ect.? CA is nitorious for looking under your hood and questioning after market parts.

I just bought an intake from Whelan w/ K&N filter. Should I wait to install it if I end up moving?

Unless it has a CARB sticker....probably. Intakes only take like 30 minutes to change out, so as long as you keep the stock parts I would put that intake on and change back before smoging the car.

LMAO!!

Cali emissions is a pain in the ass, but u can pretty much get away with anything else. I lived out there for 4 years, and ended up buying a ninja instead of keepin my car. I'll agree with revolver.......just hang on to your stock parts and you'll be fine.
