What it feels like to be ripped off

got a built motor and a supercharger kit in my car, and I was charged 3200 dollars. I have an invoice that states that I have a built motor in my car and i have an unconditional warranty and a 12 month 12k miles on it. My car has gone through 2 engines in 1 monthâs time. I can understand how I could be partially blamed for the first one, although it was his fault more than mine. I drove the car 30 miles running on 3 cylinders bc we didnât know bc I had to get the cat welded on the down pipe. Anyways, seized the motor. After that he found that he had bent the prong on the PCM and it was not plugged into the correct spot. So there for, he fixed it. After that, there was a rod knock. Spun the #3 rod bearing on the crank. He fixed it, although there was still a little knock. So about a month later, we put the supercharger on it. I do agree, I did rush him a little bit, but if it wasnât for me, it would of never of gotten done. I paid for several parts bc he didnât get them for me. He lied and flaked on me all of the time, several witnesses. Now I paid 480 dollars to get the supercharger out of the shop, so we could start the process. So then we got the supercharger on, it was running great. Then one day it decided to blow the head gasket. Now I argued w him a little and we came up w a compromise. The compromise was for him to rebuild my stock motor and give me 2k dollars back. By the way, he did give me a Hot Shot used header and down pipe and a new ACT clutch. Two weeks later, he rebuilt my stock motor and put it back into my car. The deal was to still give me the 2k back. He never did, he just gave me my old forged rods and pistons back and he told me he didnât want them. He finally gave me the 400 dollars; he still does owe me 80 dollars. 2k miles later, spun a bearing on the #2 rod bearing. I babied that engine for 1000 miles, and then I drove it normal. Then I got stuck 200 miles away from home. It cost me 600 dollars to tow the car back to my house. Called him, and he told me to f**k off and it wasnât his problem. So I ended up buying a used engine for 1300 dollars bc the crank was ruined, and it would cost more than 1300 dollars to rebuild it. So now, I pulled the engine out myself, and my car is sitting up on jack stands in my drive way for another 2 weeks till I can get the other motor. Then when I get the motor, I will be putting it back in the car. We have not decided what further action we are going to take, but I donât think we are just going to let it go. Maybe he will come to his senses and we can make another compromise that will be best for him. All I know is he is no longer going to touch my car.

well damn, i don't know what to tell u man, that must really suck, u should have just gotten joey to do something for u, especially after all that money u spent just getting motor's.

Not to be off subject, but why do people feel the need to post the same topics, and same questions on every single board? Most of these people post on multiple boards anyhow, so it's like reading the same reply's over and over again. This is the same topic joey was *****ing in over at SS. Beyond me i guess, however i do hope you get this all taken care if man! i feel for you there.

He is trying to get things taken care of with the person first before he mentions his name. Some people know who it is just from reading past posts. I was going to mention the persons name but double_d99 seems like he wants to keep a lid on it right now. I am surprised the person has not come on to say his side of the post yet on any board.

double d, first off welcome to spot, (isnt that how were suposed to welcome somene here guys?) first i see his reasoning, on the other boards his thread turned into the now infamous flame fest, next, the same people asking about cross posting do it all the time, like, whats up with that? obviously with over 500 members and growing fast were a force to be reckoned with and i to would post if someone ripped me off on multiple boards
i think somethigns wrong with the whole picture crew, for what he paid, some corners HAD to be cut somewhere, theres no way he got what he thought he was getting WITH the s/c for that cost, cant be done, unless it was hey, ill slap some pistons in here or whatever and thats it, when you tell someone rebuilt, that means fuggin rebuilt, new timing chain kit etc.
now, this is what happens when people with no real world expereince as technicians with no formal certification or training parade themselvs as techs.
hey, i have to do injections daily, IM A DOCTOR, i say it, i dont have a diploma, but it MUST be true cuase i know fancy words i read about on the net for years.
it takes YEARS of experience tro become a good tech, never mind to decive the public that your some kind of master engine builder.
and when you start doing rings, pistons etc you damn sure better know what your doing, didnt our bud moneky racing deal with a shop with a suposed ton of expereince yet they couldnt make a fuggin single cam saturn engien work?
anyway, welcome aboard double d, you wont see ANY of the bullshiit yuo witnessed on other baord here, myself, brett and the other moderators will assure you of that.
