Default What's the best?

I'll probably have a different car around this time next year. I decided I don't really want to get a 2004 ION tuner coupe, it's more than I want to spend and after looking at them I like the old body styles better. So I'm probaly going to get between a 97-2002 SC2 or 96-99 SL2. I'm leaning more towards the SC2, but if I get an SL2 it'll have to be loaded with everything. Either car it will have a 5-speed. So what year or years of the two models are better?

Ok, I picked the 96-99 only because I like that year the best, but they're both great cars.

I got to thinking, I'll probably get a SC2. I like SL2's they're cool for the sleeper look but I don't think I want one, just the whole 4 doors thing.

I picked the SC2 because I like the look of them better. They're much more agressive in their styling than the SL2's from 96+ are. If you're looking for roominess though, go with the SL. SC's are skimpy on the legroom in the back. I had a 1995 SC2 (I'm currently in the process of getting a 97 SC2) and the 1995 was horrible for passengers in the backseat. Saturn did change the platform of the SC2 in 1997 however, adding 3+ inches to the wheelbase, which translates into more legroom in the back, but compromised handling/weight/acceleration. Hopefully all that crap i typed is somewhat useful

Although, Saturn added 3 inches to the length it did not end up in the back in my 98 SC2 it is still too small for a grown up to fit. However, 2 to 3 petite women will fit back there nicely on the way to the motel. muhahaha

I picked the SC2 simply cause I don't really like the look of the '96-'99 SL2.
NOW, if it was a choice between the '91-'95 SL2 and the '97-'02 SC2, that would be a very tuff decision.
But I think I would pick the '91-'95 SL2.
As you can tell, I love my car!!

I picked the SC2 because.... well GOTTA HAVE those BIG doors... go with a 3-door coupe that third door is SO HANDY.... i garuantee you wouldn't fit a 19" trinitron computer monitor STILL in the box in the back seat of a SL.....Why do I know this.... because I also know that this same box won't fit in the trunk OR in the front passenger seat, sits on stick shift and ebrake. I picked up my b/f's monitor and was VERY LUCKY i had the third door. it BARELY fit in the back....good thing i was short too.funny thing is i had to put BOTH monitor and computer boxes in my back seat.
