Default Whoa, I accidentally made booze!

I guess that's what happens when you loose a container of freshly picked blackberries in the back of the refrigerator fvor a long time.

I picked them back in 2002 for pie filling, but no pie was ever baked. After about six months, we discovered them all the way in the back of the bottom shelf. I was about to pitch them, but then realised that they weren't moldy. In fact, they looked fine. I suspected that they had been partially frozen by the refrigerator, and stuck them back in there thinking that I might still have a use for them.

it's been a year-and-a-half since I plucked them from the bushes in the backyard. I just found them again, and through the translucent container, they appeared to have liquified. Still, there were no signs of mold, so I popped the lid off in order to smell of them. WOW! I smell alcohol! I made booze! LOL.

has anyone else ever had this happen?

Hey, all it's gonna do is get someone drunk. It won't be causing any bathroom incidents or illness.

No, I haven't tried any of it, yet. I'm going to filter it and let it age some more, first.
