Default wife's looking to trade

we currently have a 2000 ford ranger and a 2000 pontiac grand am. we're going to trade one in, probably for a ford escape. that's what she's wanting. any escape owners here? anybody got the lowdown on these things? we've rented one before and liked it but some owner feedback would be great.

In case you have difficulty finding a deal, go to Mazda. The Mazda Tribute is basically the same as the Ford Escape.

My manager at my second very part time job has one and she loves it. She says it's the perfect size and seems to be very reliable for now.

Might check into the hybrid escape, too. A little gas savings can go a long way these days. I was saddened at my own shock yesterday to see gas below $2 again. It won't last...
