X-BOX 360 or PS3

how many of you are going to get this thing when it comes out? it's supposedly all wireless.. wi-fi?

only thing i'm waiting for is Perfectdark Zero, only purpose of me buying that system is for the game..

what about you?

haven't seen much about the PS3 tho, but it's coming this year so i'm guessing a battle for x-mas sales like always

As much as I won't buy a console... If I had to, I'd buy the one that's most closely resembles a PC.

I wonder when Xbox's will incorporate SLI PCI-Express video cards...

PS3, solely because it will have better games as Sony has always had....

think again. japanese developers are jumping aboard the xbox team because its MUCH easier to develop for and they were impressed with the hardware and the approach microsoft is taking. the first xbox didnt get love because the japanese are stubborn. euro and america LOVED it.

[the reviewers say it all!]. dont mean to sound fanboyish, but this is all true. i read up on gaming every day. microsoft has backed everything they said up. remember sonysaying the ps2 would be able to produce toy story level graphics? what happened..? hmmm... project gotham 3 looking like this:

im allf or it! [thats an ingame screen not even using all of the xbox 360's power. its using 2 2ghz ppc's. xbox 360 has 3 3.2 ppc processors.

ill report more from e3 as i find out new info. ill take plenty of pics and videos and keep everyone posted.

oh, keep in mind microsoft has the BEST online approach for xbox and has been the most successful taking a game console online.

Though I'd like to have seen Micro$oft use the new 64-bit P4's...

I've built IBM servers with less processing power than this beast!

Three 3.2Ghz IBM PowerPC processors, 512MB GDDR3 @ 700Mhz, a 500Mhz core on an ATi graphics processor... One mean machine... A very nice step (maybe a leap?) up from the Xbox's 733Mhz processor and nVidia GeForce3.

I'd take the Xbox anyday.

let me say ive seen BOTH press conferences..

sonys showed a bunch of bull**** pre rendered footage they called realtime and microsoft showed realtime. sony reps read from the teleprompter like a bunch of robots while microsoft reps just went with the flow..no teleprompter at all.

now...the designs of the 2..XBOX 360 clearly wins. ps3 looks like the george foreman grill...or even a bose. look:

look at that controller. and let me tell you, the ps3 is BIGGER than the current xbox. the xbox 360 is SMALLER than the current xbox. japanese complained about xbox being too big. how will they react to the ps3? im not convinced with the ps3. after all, sony DID promise toy story graphics with the ps2 hardware. did we get that? hell no!

oh and in other news, SQUARE-ENIX has jumped aboard the microsoft team. a final fantasy 11 remake for xbox 360 and an exclusive game as well...

First of all, i'm just going to buy both, problem solved.

Second, you shouldn't judge a console and/or a game just by the graphics they can produce, i mean, Final Fantasy II for the gameboy is one of my favorite games that i beat yearly its so fun. And well, IT doesn't have "toy story" graphics.

Final Fantasy X----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Toy Story

Even if thats all your interested in, i dont see that much of a difference.

Sony always has a lot more games as well.
Anyways, if i had to choose only 1, it would be the ps3 simply because i liked ps2 way better than xbox so ps3 will probably be better.

Armored Core series
GTA series
Gran Turismo series

LOL love the grill, if it's a lean mean grillin' machine then i'm gunna buy it, or maybe i'll adapt one to my computer since it cooks @ 130deg's sometimes well when extremely overclocking

your not seeing my point tho. sony hyped the ps2 up to be a machine that would be able to create toy story like graphics. they hyped the machine up so much that it let a few down [including me] and they dont want to fall for the sony "hype machine" again. sony's ps2 online is the biggest joke ever. and their hard drive? it didnt sell jack so thats out of the question.

sony just loves to hype things up. as of now the only product im interested in is the psp. everything else is meh.
