Default 91-92 header???


whats this I keep hearing about the 91 to 92 header??? what exactly is so special about it and will it fit in my 97 sc2?

It's a 4-2-1 tubular header, not a cast manifold. It flows better.

Yes, it will fit any 91-98 DOHC.

It's only available on the 91-92 DOHC.

It's better because instead of a manifold, it's a tubular style header, which flows better.

And instead of going from 4 banks right into one, it goe from 4, to two, to one.

It's stock, so it's cheap.
The o2 sensor monitors all 4 cyliner.

So doesn't the manifold (99 at least), but regardless, like they mentioned, it flows better. It will fit only 91 - 98 DOHCs...only 5-bolt heads.

...and you'll need the downpipe too, and will need to have it welded on at a shop.

I'm gonna go back and find my post where I put of pics of a 91/92 header and the stock manifold off my 94 along with the comparison of the dohc manifold compared to the sohc manifold. Then someone can make it a sticky so nobody ever asks this again, or if it will fit a sohc.
