i know that wings that u buy will not work i stated that b4...

also most of the wings they make for our cars dont do anything except "look good"....
and 9th grade was like 7 or 8 years ago i kant remember **** i learned in college 2 years ago how in the **** am i gonna remember a tiny ass part of 9th grade....

i wanna see where adding a wing (which will catch air) will reduce ur Cd... are there wind tunnel tests or some other test that have been done somewhere that prove this...??? wouldnt the smoothest possible surface have the least cd not the one with a big ass thing (or small either way) sticking up in the back (or sticking down if we are talking about a front spoiler??)

also if they arnt making negative lift how can they reduce it.... or did u mean to say that they dont make enough negative lift to couter act the lift that is naturally there....

also u people r missing one of the important factors.. the angle of the wing... im sure most of u people have gran turismo pop the game in and start fking w/ the aero dynamics in the car anycar in gt3 u can try the f1 car... anyway u can feel the difference in the car from great grip and slugishness to fast as fk and slower turns or some sht... just try it out see what happens... i dont know its an idea

I agree.

But to answer your question from your last post. You missed what I said. Reducing lift is better for your Cd and aerodynamics that just having a flat smooth surface.

ok but how much lift could the backend have.... some from the bumper being hollow... some from the wheelwells.... but if u are accelorating the weight is being shifted rearwords anyway...... no??

Yea, weight will transfer to the back, but that isn't countering lift. Any object moving at speed will catch air which will cause it to lift and be unareodynamic (you like that word, i just made it?). The wing/splitter/defusers channel air away from where it shouldn't be and use it to hold the car down at speed, but on a street car it isn't pushing it down enough slow the car down. As I said in the other post, no matter how fast you drive a race car it won't lift, it just me sucked/push to the ground harder. At some point your Saturn is gona lift, no matter how big the wing is.

Digital had a good idea with GT3. If you put the downforce very high it will slow the car down. But you will also be able to blast through corners very fast without coming up off the ground. Now try taking something very fast like the Escudo and putting the downforce low as possile. Its also very slow that way, because its catching to much air and in fact you can get it to do a wheelie.

Now, back to my original question....about those defusers...
