Default Have an 01 Sc2 5 speed, can i rip the bottom of air box out?


I have an 01 sc2, i want to rip the bottom of the air box out but what sensor goes into that tube? can i relocate it in to the top of the air box, flip the air box over and put the filter in it??

that sensor is call the IAT (intake air temperature) sensor. You can relocate it, but you want to keep it close to the filter...

do a search on posts by zormister, hes got some very nice pics of what your talking about.

or ya can head on over to my cardomain site where its explained-- the thread he's talkin about is called "airbox mod" or somethin like that-

Chop that thing off. Drill a hole in the cover for the IAT and your done.
