Default Header/exhaust info

i found that i can only find headers up to like 96 , will these fit on the dohc 98 sl2 motors?

say like a pacesetter for a 96 1.9 twin cam

there are 3 exhaust styles for the s-series:

'91-'98 (maybe some very early 99) DOHC: 5-bolt
'99-'02 DOHC: 9-bolt
'91-'02 SOHC: 8-bolt

so yes, a header (singular when it's one assembly - V6 engines have headers because there are 2 banks of exhaust, thus 2 assemblies) for a '96 DOHC will fit a '98 DOHC.

This does not need to be stickied, the information is in the swap guide, which is also stickied in this section.

seeing as a header Q is posted quite often, it shows that no one finds the info in the guide. so maybe it should be stickied.

Not to steal the thread, but are the headers even worth it for $200 bucks? Or would i rather spend the 200 some where else(CAI not included, i already have one)

Well if you want to see any substantial power gains from any other power adders, you are being restricted with the stock cast manifold.

And you can find the OBX header on ebay for around $150 if you are patient and keep looking. Otherwise the stock 91-92 header is a good bet, but are becoming harder and harder to find.
