Jesus Christ!

This forum never ceases to amaze me.

People recommend spraying off the line (below 3k rpms), neutral drops, etc... Hahahah.

When you blow your car to hell, make sure to come back and thank everyone.

The ONLY way to increase the 'off the line' pickup with an automatic saturn without going with a Supercharger or quick-spooling turbo, is to swap in a manual transmission.

Other then that your really not going to find anything to make you take off faster.

about 7 out of 10 times in a race with a non honda I get beat off the line but I catch up fast and are usually up to pace into 2nd gear.

if you do get nirtious DO NOT USE IT UNDER 3k you will not get off the line AT ALL!
That only works if you wanna blow your differential in a couple of tries (I thought about doing it but luckily my friend was there to talk me out of it)...But, for a better, safer alternative that will achieve almost the same result (and will be much better than w/o it), you put your left foot on the brake. Keep your right over the gas. Then, with the brake depressed, you give your car some gas (not anything to burn out on, mind you) and then you gradually lift up on the brake until about half way. Continue to give the car the same amount of gas, and then let go of the brake entirely while simultaneously flooring the gas. It's really cool and I've done it dozens of times. FYI, this will still put some stress on your tranny, just not nearly as much.

Now don't get me wrong, if you can then swap it to a manny tranny because doing the aforementioned steps are in no way good for your car. But, having to replace some brake pads and occasionally a new rotor is better than replacing the whole differential/valve body.

poc301...

Don't drive angry!!!

I mis-read the post and corrected myself....

My bad, I read the post wrong. I thought you wanted to go fast...You could do a couple of bolt ons in the meantime. A good set of motor mounts might help get a better transfer of power to the ground. You also might want to consider a Plasma Booster. They show a gain of about 30 lb. torque at 2000 RPM. Pulleys may or may not help. It is a personal preference. Just a couple of ideas!

You might want to read the entire post before flying off the handle.....

If we can offer multiple ideas to the individual that requested our OPINIONS, he can make his own choice.

Plasma boosters are bull****.

They claim a 30 ft lb gain and less than a 5 hp gain, yet it was supposed to be on a DOHC chassis dyno, where a stock DOHC puts out around 110 at the front wheels, this was less than 100.

I am very sceptical of this thing.

A plasm booster is a Ignition component to enhance existing INDUCTIVE type ignition systems like the Saturn systems.
Easy to install, only 2 wires on distributor type ignition.
• 100% secondary current (Spark Amperage) increase
• 4 Times Spark Energy Increase for the initial spark discharge
• Compatible with all OEM components
• Compatible with OBD-II (On-Board-Diagnostics)

Check out the website at www.ignitionsolutions.com.

They can be purchased through Saturn Motorsports.

Answer me one question...

Since physics dictates that Horsepower and Torque ratings are directly proportional to each other, how is it than this mod can increase torque by 30+ and only increase horsepower by 5?

Its a scam.
