Has anyone used the Phantom Grip. Differential kit. It acts like a limited slip posi fro the front end. That should help definitely off the line. Two things though. IT is not cheap and It is very hard to rebuild a differential to put it in.

It SUCKS

I had it, and it barely helped out my 60 ft times.

It also cause the premature failure of some plastic gaurds from the spring pressure on the spider gears to cause the spider gears to eat a hole in the case, causing the same problems as one without (and this was with a diff kit), but with limited/unsafe limping abilities.

Save your money, get a Quaiffe, or do this

I didn't do it....but it keeps the pin from coming out on you, while still allowing you to turn like usual.

Are there any problems that could potentially happen as a result? If not, how come the differential pin doesn't come welded from the factory?

Because a lot of people don't sit there and do burnouts or race saturns. People that do those sorts of things usually have money and buy a good ol V8 that's meant to take it, not a grocery getter.

That question is like asking why my pos imac didn't come with a damned floppy drive.....no ****in need for it.
