First you have to determine if the engine you're running it through is in good health to begin with. Time for a compression check.

If the engine is in good shape, you can run up to a 75 shot fairly safely. There's a good chance that regular use of a 75 shot will shorten the life of the engine, but it's not gonna just blow up because of it.

BTW, proper installation and tuning is a necessity.

It should be noted that it was found after the video was made that the fogger nozzle was turned 90 degrees from what it should have been, and was likely a bigger contributor to the destruction.

Thanks for bringing that back Jon haha. Don't let that discourage you at all, but be sure you know 100% what you are doing before you go with the juice and read, read, read, know the risks. You may end up without your car like me.

lol Scott a.k.a. "sidways nozzle" haha

there are actually a lot of people I know in OH with great experience with setups like this and those more intense.

research research research

leakdown and compression test

then decide what the absolute max you want to run is, and go from there

I've put so many lbs of nitrous through my cars I've lost count, so the fable of it being bad for an engine is directly related to your setup and how safe it is.

Yep...we got all the nitrous gurus in this thread already

Good to see ya back on spot, vin.

Anyways...lots and lots and lots of reading. You should know absolutely everything before you even buy a kit.

I'd go wet shot...start with a 35 shot...leave it there until you are absolutely sure you know what you're doing.

If you're careful and patient, nitrous is perfectly safe for your motor and won't harm it in any way. If you miss even the slightest detail, you end up with two fist-sized holes in your block and no car 6 hours from home. ()
