Default Ok I did it

I finally purchased some lowering springs. I have 100k on my stock SL2 suspension. The purchased springs are H&R Sport. Heard good things about them. I guess im just inquiring as to how much of an idiot I am, not picking up new shocks for these guys. Im broke, but how stupid was it to only pick up springs?

i REALLY hope they're not original struts you're using..

i did that with 80K and the added weight of the chasis on the lowering springs caused the older rubber strut mounts to literally shear away from the retaining bolt and blew the strut straight through the rear deck..

PUT NEW RUBBER TOP MOUNTS ON PLEASE

Yep. Better to do it the right way than cheap out now and suffer for it later...

i never had a prob on my 93 sat with stock struts either (Not shocks).

What goldie's talking about sounds more like over torqueing the shaft bolt. What that does is compress the rubber mount too much. Compressed rubber doesn't have the same shock absorbtion as say an expanded one. It did ride pretty harsh, which is why i'd reccomend getting new struts, but not needed.
