Default pullys


if i got a new lightweight pully for my ion.. will it help me accelerate. i need to beat my friends honda and i want some help

lightweight pulleys barely do anything. You may not even be able to notice the difference.

i heard you can expect 10-15 hp from it. plus throttle response

what are you starting with, and what honda? What's done to the honda? What's done to your car? What condition are both cars in? Is this a straight drag race? To what speed? Are you a good driver? Is he/she a good driver?

People have beaten very fast cars in bare bones saturns before, simply due to these factors being accumulated in their favor. You can just say "Saturn vs Honda" and expect anyone to know an answer.

its a 2003 ion.. and its an crx with some jdm motor

there are not many pullies on the ecotec so don't worry about that at all. don't bother with a lightened crank pulley either, better off with a flywheels that's lightened if you are manual.

your comparison is a bad example by which to build your car. if you want to get some sort of performance out of it seriously I may be able to help you.
