For one, if he didn't have one, you can't just buy the swaybar. You need all the mounting hardware, and that's where the PITA comes in...cause you have to weld it, and I don't even think there's a depression or anything, you have to guess.

I don't have one...i'm swapping subframes.

Why did you buy new tires? Do you autocross, or did you just want to improve your all around handling? You're catching different fish from the same boat.

new tires keep much more traction on the road, they keep you from sliding and allow water to flow evenly through the grooves. new tires are much better than old "slick" tires. that is a completely different arguement that this. a thicker sway bar is no better imo to a regular stock sway bar for normal everyday driving. the brackets bold right to the bottom two strut bolts, and although a stock 15mm one would be better than none at all, i don't see any reason to spend 150 dollars on a thicker one when that added "performance" will not be used unless autocrossing etc. so if he wants to spend the money to make a 'tighter' lane change, go ahead, but if it'll just bolt on, why not just do it stock.

I would have to say that I agree with shaolin.

I don`t understand you goldie, I have nothing against you but it seems that you dislike modifications. I cannot understand why not. You act as if its a sin to better a saturn. You seem to be part of the reason that we prolly have no parts for our cars, because you think its to expensive and not cheap enough. Can you shed a little bit of light on this for me goldie?

dude, why would u spend 200 bucks to get one that performs MAYBE a "little" better than a stock one? i'm sticking up for you here, this doesn't make any sense. go get the brackets and the bar in one piece from the junkyard, i promise you somebody has one you can get for a quarter of that price, if that. i'm fully for modifications, but going from no bar to a "super bar" that has little difference from a stock bar makes no sense. do what you will, but unless you're really pushing your car to the max, a stock bar will do you just fine.

I'm almost certain it doesn't bolt right on, and welding is required.

goldie his car has a factory rear sway bar.
ive felt the difference in stock rear bar to the bigger bars.
with the bigger bars the car is way more predictable.
personally i want one but a trans is more what i need as of the moment.

oh man i give up, if somebody had an sl1 or whatever without the bar, they'd be better off with a stock sl2 sway bar than nothing else, and the superbar is not worth it IMO. if you do, let us know if they bolt right up or what, i'm tired of repeating myself
