Default SDA new parts.

I was wondering about peoples opinions on SDA parts for our motors. I have been thinking of buying there new heads and intake manifold for my 2001 sc2, also there throttle body and some street cams. I've been tosing the idea back and forth about trying this next year. Like do it all at once and since the new intake manifold will be metal i could direct port nitrous into it and maybe for like 2k have a nice potent NA motor with a 50 shot as the backup.

Good company, quality parts. I got the TAM combo and just install the power cams on my SC2. The TAM is really stiff and works great, does exactly what it's supposed to (even though it broke already, I have yet to contact him about that, hope I get a replacement after only 4 days of use) and the cams are awesome. I did gain some noticable top end power, although with the sacrifice of some low end, and it gives it a very, very nice lope in the idle, sounds like it has a crazy built engine.

Oh, man, that makes me really excited to get my cams in

All I know is, they offer a head+valve seals+all the porting work for $529 after core.

And I took my head to a local machinist...he quoted me $380, and the bill came yesterday...$645!!!! I'm better off leaving it there and buying the SDA one!

I'm not too happy with all motor currently. Yeah the internals are stock, but I'm running a 75 shot and that is only time I'm impressed with this car for as much as I've put in. In order to really get some power from the cams and other stuff, you need some type of fuel management. If I decide to dig into the motor and put new pistons and stuff like that in to up the compression, I will just go forged and build my own turbo setup. Don't get me wrong, it's still a fun car for driving around and is pretty quick. I'm just getting sick of going against all my friends with b16 equipped Civics and hanging very well with them up until vtec cracks. And they all have less money into theirs than I do. Turbo is coming next for the real power.

Shouldn't it be lower compression with a turbo setup? Guess it depends on the setup...

Well yeah, if I got turbo it will 8.5:1 pistons. What I meant was just the forged part for turbo, not higher compression. With all motor and nitrous usage, I wouldn't worry about forged internals.

im thinking the same. I want to try and turbo mine next year. See around here there are a lot of the toyota guys, with all these newer xrs types. And of course they invented a CamCon to control the damn lift in the motor. Just like vtec, this lift kicks in at like 7200 normally, but they are dropping in down lower. The xrs is the celica motor and 6 speed and the lift gives 30 hp. so i can beat them up till lift kicks in lol. later this year i am doing the sohc tranny swap and weld the diff, and hopefully Qcksl2 will make me an a/c saver log manifold and i can turbo and keep it low boost.
