Default Supension upgade ?

I'm looking into upgradeing my 99 DOHC S series. Does anyone know if any other car shares the same suspention setup, etc. I want to find the best, quality and price I can get. My bro owns a 2 mazda MX'3 and he has several things on his car he can use from other cars, and company names. Does anyone know? Thanks,
Mikael

all s series share the same suspension parts. KYB GR2 struts are the way to go then lower it with like a mild 1.5 in drop.

The only other manufacturer parts available for a Mazda would probably be Ford, as far as I know. Just the same as how a Pontiac Grand Am can use parts for an Olds Alero, or how an Isuzu Hombre's parts can be used on some Chevy S-10's and/or GMC Sonoma's.

Saturns... Are a different story. Especially S-Series. They're one and the same, and yet unique from all other cars at the same time. You can switch Saturn parts all day long, but don't try to swap in something from a different manufacturer unless you can invest some quality time and a good chunk of change.

thanks I didn't think there would be anything but I had to try! So I can look for springs and struts under SL 1or 2 and SC 1 and 2 as well. can i do that for the strut bar anti roll etc. or is it just the basic items that don't bring in the wheel base changes between the SL and the SC thanks Mikael

Yup, the only exception is that the rear suspension of the SW's (wagons) is a little different bolt pattern for the struts. Other than that, all the same, all years. There are some stock differences between the 1's and 2's (2's have rear anti-swaybar and beefier front anti-swaybar), but most aftermarket stuff is all the same - adding a rear anti-swaybar to a 1 will require the end link hardware, though.
