Default vtech

How much would it cost to install a vtech in my saturn to make it run better. would any saturn dealer install this? if not then how would i do it myself. does it go into the intake or the exhaust? thanks.

it's a complicated system designed into the engines it is found on. You cannot add it to an engine (aside from possibly being able to add it to a honda engine by swapping the head from a different honda engine, maybe).

Unless you're talking about some other doodad that some aftermarket company is selling, in which case you need to be more specific. If you're talking about what hondas have, then the answer is no.

Well then you should install a nitrous system.

i always thought it was spelt VTEC....maybe Honda doesn't know how to spell???

and the closest thing you can do is like they said add nitrous, but have money saved up for when you blow that engine up

first off depending on the car the vtec system is in, it doesnt necessarily mean its fast.......simplified, all vtec does is combine continuously variable valve lift and timing control with the continuously variable phase control of VTC (Variable Timing Control), meaning changing the timing of the honda engine and opening the valves at a different time, thus making the car faster than a car with the same engine non-vtec....

u want vtec, get cams and tune them

i installed june cams in a b18a integra motor and it killed the same year gsr integra, the vtec version........

just bc a car has VTEC in it doesnt mean its fast, and if thats what you are using to base if a car is fast or not then you have a lot of learning to do my friend, i dont have VTEC and id eat any honda thats not turboed on high boost (while getting my whopping 13 miles to the gallon).........like usherboy said before if you just get cams and have them tuned properly, then you will make out just fine if you want your satty to be faster
