Not exactly - you can plan stuff even if you're not prez or have any official club contacts or anything. Just plan things, announce them (maybe using the events topic section instead of the club specific one so you get a bigger audience). Get interest from MO people.

also try the mailing list topica thing if u still got it and see if u can find some people through there people seem to respond more to the emails than they do to the post

mmmm we're still working on the meeting thing. we're kinda scattered in North. Chicago seems to be a central meeting place for us, Steve and I are going to a meet there this Saturday. I'm not sure how often we'd be in ST. Louis but I'm not saying it wouldn't happen at all. I'd drive the distance as long as i have somewhere to stay the night because driving for 6 hours is only fun for a little while. check out the north threads, we're getting started and getting more active

I'm sure we could do StL trips from time to time. Chicago area will probably be more common, but we'll jump around as far as locations. Auto shows & such will definately get more of a draw for trips to places on the edge of our region.
