| just stop. no. stop right now. if you mean the ebay coilovers, they suck, ride crappy, and break.
just go with the sprint 2inchers, the sprint extreme 2.5-3 inchers, eibachs or any other spring, and get stiffer struts like kybs.
COILOVERS = BAD. |

| if you cut your springs, ill drive to your house and set your car on fire
cutting springs = mad ghetto
if you want a GOOD set of coilovers get some carerras or progress, they are like 1200 bucks a set, but they are the ONLY coilovers taht are worth a ****
otherwise go with sprint, they are decent and reasonably priced
*Edit*
There are many more, much more appropriate words to use. I took the liberty of exchanging the original word.

| I enjoyed my Eibachs, and since they came with the car, they were priced right!

| ok, now PurdueGuy wants to learn something! I already knew about the cheap coilovers, and that cheap lowering is best done with lowering springs. When I get my project car, though, I may be willing to spend the cash & get the good stuff. What are the advantages of the *good* coilovers vs *good* lowering springs? Better handling characteristics? How much would the coilovers lower the car? |

| plus, coilovers are usually adjustable, so you could have a 1 inch drop for normal driving, then turn the little thingymajigy and drop it down to 4 inches for a show or whatever. |

1- well they come as a set, the struts actually have the threads right on them, so you have GOOD struts too, and the car will handle alot better
2- they arent ghetto
3- they are adjustable from stock height down to a 4" drop\
4- get a set of polyurethane bushing all around your car, good coilovers, and a good set of tires, and you will outhandle stock corvettes and many other cars.. now keeping up with them in a straight line is a different story |

| Don't know about the stuff for Saturns, but my buddy has a set of Tiens on his CRX and the damping is also adjustable and very hard to get set right on all 4 corners. I would honestly only go with the expensive setups if you are very serious about racing and your car in general. Otherwise lowering springs will satisfy you just fine, especially if it is only or mostly street driven. |
