Default Cam Position Sensor

As discussed before some have issues with there MSD coil packs and some don't. Mine throw 3 ignition codes with them on. So, it has been said that a cam position/phase sensor will remedy the MSD issue. So, where can I get an external CPS (apparently it clips to a wire?) and has anyone else used one?

What? Our cars don't use a CPS.

Like I said.

No cam sensor (CPS)

The PCM determines the cam position from the CKS (crank position sensor)

Thanks Tristan. So my low compression across all 4 cylinders was probably causing the ignition codes. Good to know how the PCM reads the cam position. Awesome write up.
