Carbon fiber hood and trunk lid for 1st-Gen SL (91-95)

I just got done talking to Fiber Images today and they told me that if I had 10 people that were serious about getting a carbon fiber hood and trunk lid they would make a mold. I have to send them my stock pieces and the money. The hood would be retail price (which I'm assuming would be between $400-$700). I'm not sure about the trunk lid.

I know there are people out there looking for these parts. If you are serious about getting them post about it. I'll find out more of the details if enough people are as serious about getting them as me.

I would love to have a carbon fiber hood. But its hard to get money. Since i have a high car insurance payment. I would if i had the money

I understand. I haven't had a lot of people interested in the hoods, but what I might do is buy the 10 myself and then make them available to anyone that wants one later down the road.

But a little bit of help from anyone would be great!

That would be cool. I would like to get one later, just not right now. Too much other stuff that needs to be taken care of first.

well honestly depends on the price. 400 i could handle. 700 is too much for that to me.
if you get a better idea on price then let me know.

If it would come out to $700 I would try shopping around with other bodykit manufactures. I think you will find better deals with others then fiber images they tend to be pricy. I remeber when I tried to do a group buy for a CF hood I found it for $350 a pop. just do a search on cf hood manufactures or cf body parts on search engines and u might come up with more companies just a thought................
