Default Clear Headlights for 2000 SL2?

I was wondering if and where I can get totally clear headlights for my SL2? So no amber paint over the parking lights/blinkers totally clear. I would also like to do the same to the back and the sides eventually as well.

Maybe 3rd gens are different from my 2nd gen (but I don't think so), but it's not the housing itself that causes the amber, but rather the bulb. The housing for the turnsignal is such a shape (parabolic) that the amber from the bulb reflects out into the viewers eye and seems like it's actually the housing that's amber. Look closely and you should be able to see that (especially if you look at it from an angle).

Since this is the case, the only thing you can do for that is to get a different-colored bulb.

On the 2000 and up SL's they actually have an amber lens over the bulb that can be removed but not very easily.

SilverStar now makes a turn signal bulb that is clear when off but lights up amber when lit.. I just bought a set for my '99 SL2 and it looks so much better than having that orange bulb reflecting in there.

They're called SilverStar signal lights and I got mine from Advance Auto for $20 for a pair.

So did you leave the amber lens on or did you remove it? Im curious cause I think getting all clear lights would look good with my silver SL2.

I didn't have an amber lens to take off on mine since I have a '99 and 2000's were the first year where they switched headlights and have the amber lens in them.

There's a how-to that Coppertop did I believe somewhere or you could PM him and see how he removed his.
