Default custom intake

Is it possible for someone to give me instructions on how to custom make an intake for my 2001 saturn L200. I would rather have a cai than replacement filters. If its been covered just tell me to search and I will be searching. thanks

Get dryer duct in the appropriate size (probably around 3"), and remove the factory airbox and intake. ROute the dryer duct in the same manner, clamp a cone filter on the end, install any vacuum lines and/or sensors, and call it a day.

dryer duct will spilt open due to the movement of your engine.. it will just rip..

then ur car will act funny cuz theres hotter air getting in ahead of the sensor

Hey, he asked

Get a muffler shop to bend the tubing in the right lengths/angles then. I was being as cheap as possible in my reply.

not bashin ya for it, but i just got a feelin this guy wants the real thing or as close as he can get and would want to have to resort to using something as cheap and restrictive or not as helpful for a lack of terms as the real thing

he said he wanted a Cold Air Intake also. not a short ram. so mounting it where the air box was isnt a true CIA.

oh yea- erm, we could consolidate this into one thread--- orrr--- use these links: its all custom bent tubing in different lenghts- you will have to figure out the lengths and what you need- but here is a link to the piping.
