Default dogbone mounts

Im pretty sure i need new ones. Everytime it shifts from 1st to second it squeeks(sp). like the engine is moving back, and, if i remember, a mechanic said i needed new ones like 2 years ago..

so, with that said, what should i buy?

and, does this increase performance at all?

Get stock replacements and get the urethane inserts for them. What it does is allow more HP to go from your crank to your wheels.

Not that I'm knowledgable AT ALL on this, but wouldn't it be more that you wouldn't lose torque? I mean, good mounts mean less engine twist, so you'd get the torque to go through the drivetrain instead of being used to twist the engine. Might be HP along with it... dunno. Thoughts?

ur exactly right purdue. my auto teacher explained it best....

torque is what gets you going and horsepower is what keeps you going.

and to back that up just look at a big rig. they can have 600 HP but their torgue is like 900. also look at any diesal truck their TQ rating is alot higher than horsepower since they are more rated for towing

They can be, but the aftermarket dogbones tend to break really easily, so the inserts are the way to go.
