Did you leave the glass pack resonator in your exhaust? If you didn't most mufflers are going to sound that way. I have the standard Magnaflow straight flow muffler with a tip welded on and it sounds more like a V8 than a Hon-Duh!

Does a resanator make a big difference in sound?

Ported cat backs will also cause higher pitched noise as the air flow is being restricted which give it this sound. Staight cats will not restrict the air flow causing them to sound deeper. Smaller resinators rather than larger will also cause the high pitched noise. Dumb huh?? Why poeple throw smaller resinators on and restrict air flow boggles the mind.????

no resonator, 2.25 inch cat back pipe, magnaflow straight thru muffler #14802 and i think it sounds great altho when the car is cold it does sound a lil ricey when you punch it full throttle, but other than that its VERY nice and VERY deep. in fact i just got a ticket for it bein too loud

2.25" & 2" piping no resonator (2) DTM's with 2.5" tips Does not get ricey... except for the first 2 minutes until the tips actually warm up.
