Default Header brands

Hey guys, I was browsing the local performance shops and I came upon 4 brands of headers. Pacesetter, Hooker, Hedman, and Hotshot. Just want to know which brand I should go with, and wether to go for a 4-1 header or a 4-2-1 header. Any info is appreciated, thanks!

i didn't know hooker or headman man saturn headers. but both are good brands.

my friend dave had a hooker header on his toyota truck and it did the job nicly and outlasted the truck's frame!

my friend mike's brother has a nice set of hedman headers on his SBC S-10. also high quality units.

the hotshot's are favorites around here but some have issues with cracking. i don't know too much about this though. speak with someone who's used them.

the pacesetter. don't spend any money on a pacesetter. if somebody gives you one for free...sell it on e-bay.

don't forget that '91-and '92 saturn twincams have a tubular header that will work nicely on early dohc's when you do your DOHC swap make sure you use a nead with the 5 bolt manifold and not a 9 bolt if you intend on using the OEM header.

Never heard of Hooker and Hedman that made header for saturn.

Are we talking about DOHC header or SOHC header?

From what I know,

For 91-98 DOHC there are: OEM, Pacesetter, and Hothot.

For 99-02 DOHC: only Hotshot.

For SOHC: only Hotshot.

It'll be a DOHC when the header goes on... I heard about the other headers fron the guys at the local performance shops. I'm gonna do some research.

I have the Hotshot Header on my car. They quality I think has gone up since they first came out. It looks the the welds are pretty sturdy.

I think I saw Hedman made a header for us back in the day but they stopped it. It was the Chikara series for compacts. I heard they were just as poor as pacesetter. Never knew about hooker.

Hedman never made a header. It was planned, placed in the catalog, and after some time decided to not be produced from lack of market.

For Saturn only Hotshot, OEM, and Pacesetter are available.
Hotshot have a new price of $299 and they are sweet.
