Default HKS style filter

Is this type of air filter any good? This one is pretty cheap, actual HKS is $100 just for the filter. Is there a difference?

that's the generic brand one......

Here's the link to a real HKS filter.....I don't see why a filter would be that much money though... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...category=32624

it's better because it "improves sucking power"

yep. that thing sure does suck.

it may be better, but you can get 3 K&N's for that. but i'm sure it isn't three times better than a K&N, so it's probably a waste...

the generic one (looks like a racitive w/o the ractive emblem) is cheaper though. only $15. Would that one work as well as a K&N or close at least? Clean as well as a K&N?

wait.......what? I'm asking how it compares to a K&N style, because it's NOT K&N style. The K&N style are cone filters (usually) made of cotton, then theyre oiled. These are foam, and don't look like they can be oiled...

See how its VERY different from a K&N cone filter???

Maybe he doesnt want a cheap cotton filter? I really dont know if that one is any better or worse than others, never had that style filter. I wonder if foam fiters flow any more air than cotton ones?
