They say 10-15 years before it comes to market and I have seen them before a year or two back. Of course there is still some work to be done, but man what a concept!!! This is the next step from Michelin's run flat tire.

I read an article a while ago about them, Michellin said that they could firm up lateral stability without comprimise to bump absorbtion.

In short, those tires can have the cornering ability gained by low profile pneumatic tires set to high pressure, but absorb bumps like standard profile tires at normal pressure.

i couldnt see myself mounting/dismounting these tires to rims, our rim clamps at work are top of the line and still couldnt mount such things

Many forklifts have solid rubber tires that are press-fit, I suppose that when you need new tires for those wheels, you have to find a forklift specialist.
